저항군을 뜻하는 프랑스 단어인 Résistance(레지스탕스)와 레위지파(제사장 지파)를 뜻하는 히브리어 Levites가 합쳐져 그들의 이름이 되었다.
하나님을 예배하는 제사장들로서 찬양과 경배를 통하여 세상이 외치는 메세지와 흐름에 저항한다.

LEVISTANCE is a combination of two terms, Résistance and Levites.
As priests, we resist against the message and the tide of the world through praise and worship.

Levistance's first song, "Home" sings of our Father's bosom,
which is our eternal dwelling,
our ultimate destination,
and our home which always welcomes us.

Levistance sings of our Father's love,
which is the source of our strength,
the purpose of our existence,
and the reason for living.

This song desperately and repeatedly yearns for the Father's house.
